Hopco is coming to Brewcon19 and we’re bringing some mates.

Hopco is back at Brewcon19 for the 7th annual Australian Brewers Conference and Trade Expo. We’ve partnered with a whole host of Australian breweries to bring you a selection of beers showcasing up and coming hops – plus a few old favourites and some special guests.


Six String Brewing – Foxy Dragon XPA 4.2%

Fox: Blackcurrant, red berries, tropical fruits, pine and citrus are all evident in this latest addition from the Slovenians… is that a hint of tobacco? Dragon: Intricate notes of floral and rose accompany citrus, grapefruit and lemon. Subtle notes of herbs and spice are also found in this Slovenian variety.


Big Shed Brewing Co – HORT4337 Single Hop IPA 6.4%

Strong tropical characteristics alongside citrus, melon and stone fruit have been noted in a number of brewing trials, with a strong emphasis on those bold styles we know and love. Known as ‘WOW!”


Woolshed – HORT9909 Pale Lager 4.8%

Sweet hay and spices, alongside a bold citrus character of lemon and lime. True to its noble pedigree, HORT9909 presents a strong, clean bitterness in New World lagers and pilsners.


Black Hops – Meridian Pale Ale 5.4%

Bringing crisp, sharp notes of lemon, mixed berry and tropical fruit. An absolute stand out on its own, Meridian is also noted to work as an exceptional complimentary hop.


Southern Highlands Brewing – Olicana NEIPA 6.2%

Tropical fruits and citrus abound in this bold English variety. Prominent notes of ripe mango, pineapple and hints of lychee exist harmoniously alongside a well rounded bitterness.


OCHO – Primavera Saison ft Riwaka & Wai-iti 6.3%

The golden child of New Zealand Hops, Riwaka is welcomed in any new world style seeking a powerful hop presence. Riwaka imparts a distinct and unique aroma of passionfruit, citrus and grapefruit.


3 Ravens – Strata Juicy Single Hop NEIPA 6.0%

Complex and multifaceted, Strata is fast becoming the darling of the hop world. Bringing crisp, sharp zesty notes, along with dank herbs, and sweet fruits – durian, feijoa, and passionfruit.


Hobart Brewing Co – Triumph Lone Hop IPA 5.8%

A mix of candied orange up front and lingering notes of strawberry and ripe mango. A complex and subtle hop with hints of pink Bazooka bubblegum.
